Why?

We are living in a time of system breakdown. The structures we have depended on for generations are changing rapidly, and we can no longer rely on them for stability (food, healthcare, government, infrastructure, etc.). As the polycrisis (multiple crises that fuel each other) intensifies, how we organize locally to strengthen community fibers will determine our experience and well-being in the years to come.

Humans are creatures shaped by stories, moved by emotion, and paralyzed by statistics. If the dominant narrative is painting picture after picture of post-apocalyptic worlds recovering from wars, AI invasions, or global pandemics, then that is the future we will all manifest. Where we focus grows because it is the image in our heads and collective consciousness. We need a better story for the future of humanity and a holistic path to get there. That is what this work represents.

What?

The Regenerative World Quest aims to co-create a scalable model for regenerative living by identifying, showcasing, and replicating best practices globally. Combining indigenous wisdom, modern innovations, and regenerative tools, the Quest seeks to craft a blueprint for shared prosperity on a healthy planet.

Over three years, it will explore 20-30 leading regenerative sites, delivering a replication manual, a documentary or docuseries, and an implementation plan with demonstration projects. Solutions will be community-led,
place-based, and interconnected through a global network, with pilot projects incubated in Colorado and replicate from there.

The Regenerative World Quest (RWQ) is an immersive research initiative dedicated to identifying and uplifting 100 communities globally that embody a regenerative future. Regenerative Living is the ultimate expression of self-sufficiency, community resilience, and holistic stewardship. It is a solutions-oriented way of being—reimagining how we act, govern, and thrive in profound harmony with the natural world.

The RWQ finds, uplifts, and replicates solutions to build community resiliency through three tracks: Immersive Research, Education, Empowerment, and Awareness, and Implementation and Replication.

How?

While there are pockets of regenerative, intentional, and sustainable living all over the world, there is no one place (yet) that has all the necessary ingredients, people, governance or systems to not only sustain life in the twenty second century and beyond, but also to support life to thrive during the transition. Through a robust blend of research, immersive experiences, partnership, content creation, documentation the Regenerative World Quest will produce a book, docuseries, replication model and demonstration projects.

The systems breakdown we are living through was human-generated. Which means we can recode the systems to create shared prosperity on a healthy planet. This way of living is alive all over the world; it is just not evenly distributed or widely known.

The Regenerative World Quest (Quest) is an immersive research project to study and uplift communities all over the world that are living in a regenerative way. We will explore the systems, successes, challenges, and insights to create a database of scalable solutions. How can we redesign human systems that are healthier, more resilient, and holistically managed? By honoring indigenous wisdom and modern innovations, the Quest seeks to uplift and replicate best practices to craft a blueprint for shared prosperity on a healthy planet. There are three tracks to the Regenerative World Quest: 1- immersive, international research, 2- content creation and awareness building and 3- local implementation.

The following is a general timeline:

Track Three

The three track approach will be calibrated at each stage to optimize the goals of the quest.

Track One

Track Two

Phase Two

  • 2025 Progress: 15 communities visited and researched in the USA and Costa Rica, mapped to the REA.

  • Key Discovery: Successful regeneration is a governance challenge, not a technological one. We have the tools for net-zero living; the "make-or-break" factor is the "Invisible Infrastructure"—the collective agreements and social structures that sustain a community. Holistic management of all human systems is key!

  • 2026 Goal: 12–15 additional sites across the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand for a total of ~30 by the end of year two.
Track One:
Immersive Research

The Regenerative Ecosystem Assessment (REA) was created by the RWQ by studying leading regenerative frameworks and mapping them to resilient, community living. A community’s ability to maintain a thriving lifestyle (not just survive) if/when global supply chains are interrupted is a key element in all areas (food, water, education, healthcare, infrastructure, economic systems ect.)

Phase Two

  • 5 Detailed Case Studies mapping community data to our Regenerative Ecosystem Assessment (REA).

  • 17 Educational Videos highlighting specific local solutions.

  • A Network of 75+ Global Leaders committed to cross-pollinating regenerative best practices.
Track Two:
Education, Awareness, and Empowerment
Knowledge is only valuable if shared.
In Year One, we cultivated and shared:

Phase Two

In 2026, we transition research into action with four urban regeneration projects (New York, California, Kentucky, and  Illinois) in partnership with the Archangel Ancient Tree Archive.
The projects encompass restoration of urban spaces through detoxification and reforestation.

But not with just any trees —clones of ancient champion trees—Redwoods and Sequoias—that sequester carbon 12x faster than average trees and 300-6000 times more over their lifetimes. These ancient-babies are 100% copies of the mother tree and possess DNA resilient to fire, flood, pests, and drought. As the forests grow, the ancient trees share their ecosystem services and wisdom!

These urban plantings are the gateway to larger community regeneration projects and are highly replicable.

There are many ways to evaluate a community’s resilience. This assessment measures how well a community can support a thriving lifestyle across key systems such as food, water, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social cohesion.

Each project is scored using a weighted numerical scale, translating complex conditions into both qualitative insight and quantitative data. The results reflect a community’s overall capacity to remain stable and adaptable, particularly during periods of disruption.
